Pai Gow Poker, sometimes called Fortune Pai Gow, is an increasingly popular game in all casinos. It is played with a regular 52 card deck and with the addition of one joker which may be used as an ace or as a card to make a straight. There are six players at a table, and each player is competing against the dealer. Players are dealt 7 cards. 5 cards are placed in the high hand, and 2 cards are placed above in the low hand. To win your bet, your two hands (high and low) must beat the dealers two hands. If you only win one hand, the game is a draw or push and there is no winner. If the dealers’ hands are both better than yours the house wins the bet. can also place a bonus bet, or the fortune bet, and receive a larger payout for a good hand. The payout is determined by the strength of your hand. If you place a fortune bet and one of the other players has an outstanding hand you may win a bonus as well.
